Tegra X1: a graphic weapon for Google’s Pixel C

The Pixel-C presented yesterday during google’s conference is productivity-focused but has more than one trick up its sleeve. Among its strengths is Nvidia’s Tegra X1 chip with its 8-core processor. The Tegra X1 has a good processor, but it also brings a good quality GPU.

The presence of the Tegra X1 chip on the Pixel C was noticed. What is less known is that it has a GPU with Architecture Maxwell 256 core. It’s the same chip that’s in the Nvidia Shield. And the current architecture is the same as on Geforce graphics cards for computers. According to Nvidia, this allows the tablet to run the most advanced graphics on apps and games. This would obviously be “more than enough” for work and entertainment.

A great rival to Apple’s iPad Pro, the Pixel C is actually rather work-oriented with its keyboard. It is also the first tablet developed from A to Z by Google. It has a 10.2-inch screen with a definition of 2560 x 1800 pixels, a 64-bit processor with 8 cores and 3GB of RAM. It also has a USB Type-C port. It’s all running Android Marshmallow. You’ll find all the info here.

This is not the first time Nvidia has collaborated with Google. The brand was already present on the Nexus 7tablet, Google tablet at a discounted price, and on the Nexus 9, with the Tegra K1. It was the first 64-bit system on Android. It seems that Nvidia wants to continue working hand in hand with Google. It would not be surprising to see Nvidia in the brand’s next creations.
