Motorola is expected to debut the expected Motorola Edge 20 and 20 Pro in the near future. But while the phones do not arrive, TENAA, anatel’s equivalent agency in China, has already homologoized and anticipated photos and features of the two smartphones in the Asian country. The duo is expected to arrive with a triple camera, 120 Hz screen and more.
The cell phones appeared in the entity’s list with models XT2143-1 and XT2153-1. The codes are believed to be intended for the Future Swells Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro. The duo appeared with 6.67-inch screen, Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Motorola Edge 20 is also known by its codename “Berlin”. The phone was listed with an octa-core processor of up to 2.4 GHz and 3,760 mAh battery. Regarding the measurements, the agency points to 163.5 mm in height, 76.2 mm wide and 7.1 mm thick. The smartphone tends to weigh 165 grams.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro, in turn, is known internally as “Pstar”. In this case, the Chinese organ points to the octa-core processor of up to 3.2 GHz and the 4,230 mAh battery. The phone must be 163.3 mm high, 76.1 mm wide and 7.9 mm thick. The weight can be 190 grams.
The documentation of the two Motorola phones still points to RAM of up to 12 GB and storage up to 512 GB. Edge 20 also appears in the following colors: blue, white, gray, silver, black, and green. The Edge 20 Pro should make its debut in the blue, gray, silver, black, pink, and green options.
Motorola Edge 20: what to expect?
This is not the first public appearance of mobile phones. At the end of June, details of the Edge 20 technical data sheet were revealed by Evan Blass. Some information, such as screen size, resolution, and refresh rate, is the same as found in Chinese certification.
Edge 20 is rated for two variants. Among them is the possible global edition, also mentioned as “Berlin”. This phone should have a 6.67-inch screen. The American model, identified as “Berlin NA”, must have a 6.78-inch display. Both can bring 32 megapixel front camera.
The triple photo set with 108 megapixel main camera would be present. But again, the arrangements tend to be different depending on the region. In this case, the overall model should bring an 8 megapixel sensor with hybrid lens (ultrawide and macro) and another with the same resolution, but with optical zoom up to 3x.
The North American edition can keep the same main camera. But the secondary should have higher resolution, 16 megapixels. The 8 megapixel sensor with telephoto lens, on the other hand, should give the turn to a 2 megapixel camera to capture the depth of field.
The intermediate data sheet is listed to be led by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. RAM tends to be 6 GB or 8 GB and storage of 128 GB or 256 GB. Battery capacity varies by region: 5,000 mAh in North American edition and 4,000 mAh in global option.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro: what to expect?
As the name suggests, the Edge 20 Pro may be the most full-bodied model. The smartphone features went public on the same occasion and revealed the same screen specifications. The phone is also known as “Pstar”.
The main camera also tends to be 108 megapixels and accompanied by another 16 megapixel, also with hybrid lens. The last sensor would have 8 megapixel resolution and telephoto lens, with zoom up to 5x. The front camera, however, can vary by region: 16 MP for China and 32 MP for other markets.
The phone should still bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor inside, accompanied by 6 GB, 8 GB or 12 GB RAM. The storage would be 128 GB or 256 GB. The battery can be 4,500 mAh capacity.
Motorola is still preparing another phone for the line. This is the Edge 20 Lite, also known by the codename “Kyoto”, which should bring triple camera of 108 MP and screen of 90 Hz. In addition, the smartphone can count on battery of 5,000 mAh MediaTek processor inside.
The Motorola Edge 20 line is expected to be announced later this year.
