Instagram officially introduces Broadcast Channels

Today, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Instagram Broadcast Channels are available worldwide, giving creators the ability to engage more deeply with their followers on specific topics and content. Broadcast Channels were first tested in the U.S. in February and have become a new way for creators to share content directly with their followers, including behind-the-scenes content, polls and daily updates.

With the global introduction of Broadcast Channels, new features will be available to allow creators to interact more dynamically and funnily with fans, such as the ability to set an expiration date and time for the channel, share links or previews in Stories to encourage followers to subscribe.

There are also new features, such as the use of questions to collect feedback from followers and a dedicated tab in the inbox to easily access the broadcast channels you are part of or to discover new ones. In addition, you can add a moderator to collaborate in managing members, messages, and content. Some Italian creators have already opened a Broadcast Channel, including Fedez, Chiara Ferragni, Trash Italiano and Alessia Lanza.

Rumor has it that Instagram will also introduce an AI-powered chatbot that can answer questions, provide advice, and inspire creativity by helping to write messages.
