DJI Air 3S unveiled
About DJI Air 3S, rumors and leaks: the hype goes on. Yet, even with so much data, a growing flow of new findings about this mid-tier drone still surprises fans.

A new controller in sight
The latest information comes from JasperEllens on X ;Highlighted by our colleagues at Tech Radar DJI unveiled a new device called the DJI RC Track controller. Now this controller would make the Air 3S track the owner without necessarily having to use a conventional drone controller. Despite of the poor quality of image transmission, the use of the remote control appears to be quite easy. It could well be a major advantage for what may often be a one-man operation for a drone.

Notable improvements
The Air 3S has also been featured through the spec sheet posted by our tipster. This is along with some minor enhancements such as a 1-inch main sensor on the camera though, the 1/1.3-inch telephoto sensor remains unchanged. There is also an expansion of the internal storage with one upgrading from 8GB on the Air 3 to 42GB on the new 3S. Low-light quality appears to be advancing with two upgrades, an expanded ISO range, and new Lidar to enhance the detection of objects in low light. As for the similarities, weight, flight time (approximately 45 minutes) and resolution stay the same.

Launch date and price
Some sources suggest that Air 3S will be out in the market on October 23. Currently, we do not know how much more costly the new drone is, but the Air 3 is priced from $1,099, and at the most $1,300 on top of that depending on bundles offered. With the new tracking controller and other such minute enhancements, it could be that the price of the drone will be on par too.
