MediaTek will soon produce its 10-core processor, the Helio X20!

MediaTek is on the rise, Qualcomm’s direct competitor has gradually eaten the market share of its competitors in the entry and mid-range field. Recently, the Taiwanese wants to prove to everyone that he is capable of the best too, the high end happens to be his next target and he is not going to do it anyhow. Indeed, MediaTek would be ready to market its 10-core processor.

At its conference, MediaTek unveiled its new Helio processors, the P and the X. While we had no information about the Helio P series, the Helio X10 showed itself from every angle. The latter is 64-bit and features 8 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, a refresh rate of 120Hz and allows you to record slow-motion videos in 480 ips.

Moreover, this high-performance processor is already used in some smartphones like the HTC One M9 Plus or the LeTV One, there will surely be others. With this first step rather well accomplished, MediaTek could have let itself go by relying solely on its existing products, but no, the firm decided to show the sequel.

According to a Chinese analyst, MediaTek prepared a very discreet event last night about its new generation of processors, only a few manufacturers were present like Xiaomi or Vivo. This new processor would be named Helio X20, these newly arrived Helio X will surely represent the high end of tomorrow.

For the time being, the Taiwanese founder has done well, it is a processor of 10 cores that has just unveiled the latter. You read well, 10 hearts, with that it seems attractive, unfortunately we have no additional information. Finally just one, according to MediaTek, this Helio X20 would rise to an AnTuTu score of 70,000. It’s huge knowing that the Exynos 7420 of the Galaxy S6 goes up to 68,000 points, the Helio X10 meanwhile is 50,000.

One thing is for sure, MediaTek is taking advantage of the failure of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 to take its place as number one on the high end. In addition, the American smelter is on the brink and even threatens to part with his Snapdragon, not the right to error so with his future Snapdragon 820. MediaTek plans to mass-produce this processor before the end of the year. Do you think the latter is capable of making such a processor?
