Revenue Auction has 4,000 Xiaomi phones, iPhones, Xbox Series X and more

The IRS is running a new auction, with lots that include Xiaomi phones, iPhones, Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, as well as other computer items. Unlike other auctions held by the entity, in which you can find phones in batches at very low initial bids (R$ 300), in this session, most bids with electronic part of R $ 85 thousand – but includes hundreds of products, being a good option for resellers.

The Irs expects to raise at least R$ 8.2 million in this auction, of which R$ 2.58 million is only in mobile phones. The main lots are in Cascavel (PR). It is worth remembering that those responsible for the finish must be able to remove the goods on site, since the Revenue does not make deliveries. Bid proposals are open until August 9, 2021 at 9:00 pm.

In all, there are about 3,800 Xiaomi phones available in the lots released, including models of Redmi Note 9, Poco X3, among others. Interested also find approximately 300 iPhones, in addition to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Seized Xbox Series X may be resold
It is worth remembering that finding Xbox Series X in Brazil is not such a simple task. In June, Microsoft even announced that the console would still take time to re-market after shortages and high demand, and recommended that fans not buy from resellers, who practice exorbitant prices.

The truth is that the company faces a global fight against scalpers, who end up with stocks of the product to resell at much more expensive values. In addition, chip shortages have had a significant impact on console production and distribution worldwide.

How does the IRS Auction work?
The Irs conducts auctions with products seized because they are undocumented in the country, or because they were abandoned – the procedure proved extremely profitable, and has already yielded more than R $ 2.6 billion in the last 10 years. The trims are made through the Electronic Auction System (SLE), developed by Serpro.

You can purchase products such as individual (PF) or legal (PJ), and some lots are blocked for purchase by PF. When performing a shot as an individual, the individual cannot resell the item.

The goods auctioned by the Irs are not subject to federal taxes, but there is an incidence of ICMS on the value of the trim. See more information in this full tecnoblog article.
